Unique experiments are conducted in our laboratory to identify the microstructure and function of each molecular component, which are indispensable for the modeling of a virtual cell. The upper images show mechanical measurements of a single cell using our original experimental system. The lower figures show a single myofibril visualized by an atomic force microscope coupled with a confocal microscope.
