Using CT data from a real heart, two finite element
models were constructed - one for the electrical phenomenon and one for
the mechanical phenomenon. The electrical model was embedded in a torso
model in which the specific conductivity of every organ and tissue was prescribed.
In the mechanical model the boundary of the blood domain was connected to
a model of the systemic circulatory system.
